The AIIAS community of students, faculty, and staff joined together once more to refocus their hearts and minds on God. The second Week of Prayer for the school year was held from August 28 to September 2, 2017.
AIIAS is grateful to have Dr. Philip Baptiste, special assistant to the president of the East-Central Africa Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, to be the guest speaker for the Week of Prayer.
Baptiste shared topics on the theme Live Like Jesus. His dynamic appeals called out to every individual to give, love, and serve others just as Jesus does. The rest of the topics reminded the AIIAS community of their duties and responsibilities as Christ’s stewards on earth.
“The week of prayer this year for me was such a blessing! One of the best we’ve had since I’ve been here at AIIAS. The topic was simple yet highly practical and applicable to everyone who attended. And yes, the speaker delivered a dynamic, powerful, and memorable sermon every single session,” said Jody Fransch, chair of the Student Association Spiritual Committee.
A Week of Prayer is scheduled twice a school year where all students, faculty, and staff of AIIAS are encouraged to attend both morning and evening sessions in order to rededicate their life to Christ and His work. This event was organized by the AIIAS Student Association Spiritual Committee.
