AIIAS students waiting in countries that are not required to obtain visas for entry to the Philippines, may now enter beginning February 10, 2022. Fully vaccinated students will not be required to undergo a facility quarantine, but may proceed directly to the AIIAS campus upon entry to the country.
It is noted that two benefits of sooner entry into the country for students planning to study in-person at AIIAS include:
- The richness and experience of in-person interactions with the international community on campus.
- Access to physical AIIAS library resources.
Students planning to arrive and study at the AIIAS campus from any location may direct queries to the Student Services Office. Please coordinate your arrival and visa information with the Admissions Office. A list of countries that are currently visa-free for entry to the Philippines may be found here.
With the gradual loosening of pandemic restrictions, AIIAS will soon submit its application to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for limited face-to-face reopening. It is a requirement of the Philippine government that 100% of faculty and students must be fully vaccinated to participate in face-to-face classes. Once permission is granted for limited face-to-face reopening, the standards for limited reopening will be observed.
AIIAS has committed to providing virtual face-to-face classes through May 2022 in service to students who cannot yet enter the country. While planning is taking place for eventual return to in-person delivery of instruction, classes at all levels—including classes offered by the AIIAS English Center, AIIAS Academy and including church/worship services—currently continue to meet online.
In addition to the ongoing virtual face-to-face classes, AIIAS Online continues to offer masters-level programs and the PhD in Education in asynchronous format for those who prefer a more flexible format or who want the ability to choose their own study times.
