The AIIAS Annual Theological will be held on November 12-14, 2015 at the Amphitheater of AIIAS, Lalaan I, Silang, Cavite, Philippines. This year’s theme is “Centennial Reflections on Ellen G. White: A Global Perspective.
Ellen G. White was a woman of remarkable spiritual gifts who lived most of her life during the nineteenth century (1827-1915), yet through her writings she is still making a revolutionary impact on millions of people around the world.
During her lifetime she wrote more than 5,000 periodical articles and 40 books; but today, including compilations from her 50,000 pages of manuscript, more than 100 titles are available in English.
She is the most translated woman writer in the entire history of literature, and the most translated American author of either gender. Her writings cover a broad range of subjects, including religion, education, social relationships, evangelism, prophecy, publishing, nutrition, and management.
The year 2015 marks 100 years since Ellen G. White passed away. This year we will reflect on the impact of Ellen White’s legacy. The purpose of this symposium is to highlight the ministry of Ellen White and issues relating to her life, writings, and prophetic gift that have current importance.
This Forum is of an equal significance to both academicians and practitioners. There is a challenge to introduce an “all American” prophet to the Asian mind. This challenge is both to the presenters, and to the participants, to those who came to this Forum to teach, and those coming to learn.
Our Forum is a place where academicians meet with practitioners to listen to each other, to have a productive dialog. As one participates in this conference, one is challenged by the task of a creative transformation of the received material.
