Professor of Systematic Theology/Historical Theology

Key Responsibilities

• Teach graduate level courses in Systematic Theology/Historical Theology on campus, extension sites, and online.
• Advise graduate student research including theses and dissertations.
• Carry regular faculty responsibilities related to teaching, research, and publications.
• Be active in research and publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals and periodicals.
• Participate in service to the community.
• Carry out responsibilities as assigned by the Seminary Dean and/or AIIAS administration.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Earned Doctoral Degree in Systematic Theology and/or Historical Theology.
• High level of proficiency in written and oral English.
• Willing to work with students and faculty from various cultures in an international setting.
• Having a vibrant Christian experience and be a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in good
  standing, supportive of the ideals, objectives and mission of the Church and Adventist Education.
• Willingness to accept responsibilities beyond teaching as assigned by the Seminary and/or AIIAS
  administration.
• Attitude of collegiality and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Being able to teach Christian Philosophy and Ethics courses.
• Having a record of academic engagement in research and publications.
• Being an ordained or commissioned Seventh-day Adventist Minister.

Required Work Experience

• Having ministerial experience.
• Prior teaching experience at tertiary level.

Preferred Work Experience

• Having pastoral experience.
• Acquiring an international work experience.
• Successful teaching in tertiary or graduate level for at least 5 years.
• Mentoring student research.
