Donny Chrissutianto is an Indonesian who spent 13 years as a district pastor and department director of the SDA Church in the western part of Indonesia prior to coming to AIIAS. While serving in Indonesia, he finished his MMin. A few years later, he earned an MDiv degree from AIIAS. His interest in history and theology led him to take PhD in Church History and Historical Theology with cognate in Theology. In 2018, he joined the faculty of the Historical/Theological Department of AIIAS. He is married to Maria Nurdiana and they have two children.
Donny Chrissutianto has presented papers in various international conferences on topics related to Adventist history, the Sabbath, state of the dead, eschatology, and the Trinity. He is currently writing a book on the development of Adventist theology and is also writing some entries for the historical and theological sections of the forthcoming Seventh-day Adventist Encyclopedia.
