Gheorghe Razmerita was born in Ivanovca Noua, Cimislia, Republic of Moldova (at that time, part of the Soviet Union). Together with his wife Diana, he enjoys the company of their children, Edmond Cristian and Edna Daniela, both early teens.
Dr. Razmerita joined the AIIAS Theological Seminary in April 2019 as an associate professor in the Department of Historical-Theological Studies, in which he had previously taught between 2006 and 2008. Prior to his current teaching appointment at AIIAS, Dr. Razmerita served as a professor in the Department of Historical-Theological Studies at Adventist University of Chile, Chile; as an assistant professor in the Department of Historical-Theological Studies at Adventist University of Africa, Kenya; as a district pastor in South Moldova Conference; and as an assistant professor of theology at Moldova Union Seminary, Republic of Moldova. He has also served as a visiting professor, teaching courses for the graduate programs at Adventist University del Plata, Argentina and Adventus University, Romania.
In recent years, Dr. Razmerita has presented at various theological symposia and conferences in South America on topics such as Doctrine of God, Creation, Church, Salvation, Eschatology, Science and Religion, Religious Freedom. He has published “Modele intermediare în dialogul știință-religie” (“Intermediary Models in the Science-Religion Dialogue”) in TheoRhema 12 (2017): 37-68 (Romania) and contributed biblical-theological devotionals to A Walk through the Bible (2015), a multi-author devotional book (Spain).
Currently, he is working on two chapters for two books: “God in the Apostolic Church,” a chapter in La Deidad: Una introducción a la teología adventista acerca de Dios, to be published in 2019 (Brazil) and “John B. Cobb,” a chapter in Teólogos influyentes del siglo XX, parte II, vol. 2, to be published in 2020 (Argentina).
