On Monday, August 10, 2015, ground was broken signifying the beginning of construction for the scholarship student-housing tower on AIIAS campus.
“We are happy that this dream has come to light,” said Dr. Stephen Guptill, AIIAS president. “We are even more excited that this tower will fulfill the urgent need for student housing and the crucial need for scholarships.”
The tower will provide on-campus housing for students while also providing scholarships for worthy students. Donations were collected to fund the construction. The complete rent collected will be used as scholarship money. Both benefits allow more students to continue their studies to better serve the church in their capacities.
AIIAS administration and students expressed their appreciation to all the donors, specifically the Crocodile Foundation, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division, and the Southern Asia-Pacific Division.
This new tower will be the 17th tower on campus. It will have 15 units with two rooms in each. The bottom floor will also have a lounge where students can gather to study, have a potluck, or to socialize. Approximately 30 students will have on-campus housing due to this tower.
